The Wrestlers Start their Season Strong

In the first meet of the season, the varsity wrestling team took first place. They beat Orion 37-30 and Davenport North 42-33. Collin Altensey, Alex Watson, Brock Smith got two pins each and Tharren Jacobs got one pin. Last weekend the JV wrestlers competed in the Newman Comet Invite. The JV placers included Ethan Mathis, Brody Barret, and Zac Bradley in 1st. Quote from head Coach Keppy- “Starting off the year with one of our conference rivals Orion came down to the last match to win. Then followed up with a good win over Davenport North. Brock Smith, Collin Altensey and Alex Watson each started the year with 2 pins.” The seniors on the team this year are Parker Friant and Tucker Dwyer. Everyone on the team is excited to see where their hard work and dedication will take them this season.
