Speech Team Season Continues

On January 22nd, 2022, the Riverdale Speech Team competed at the Glenbard South Tournament in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. The team competed very well in the tournament against much bigger schools and competition. There were three students on the team that had advanced to the finals! Senior, Kyan Stuart, placed 6th in the Special Occasion Speaking, while freshman, Adam Benoit, and sophomore, Cassidy Kline, placed 4th in the Dramatic Duet Acting. The Glenbard South tournament had some tough competitors, but the team felt very confident in themselves. Cassidy Kline gave some positive words about how the team did last weekend, “Honestly, my self-doubt got the best of me but when I heard that my partner and I broke into finals, I was overjoyed. I am extremely proud of our team, and my partner Adam Benoit for giving our all throughout the season”. In about two weeks, the team will be competing in regionals and we are wishing them the best of luck!
