Robotics Rams Take First

On Saturday, November 19th, 2022 the Riverdale High School Robotics team held their first meet of the season. It was held in the Riverdale High School gym at 10:30 a.m. They won 5 matches and lost 1. The team is now ranked 1st place in the Western Illinois Division. Ava Phelps, a junior shared, β€œThe Riverdale Robotics team is dedicated to strengthening the STEM education in our school, members, and community. We archive this through multiple outreach programs. Our members plan to grow with the support of our community.” This school year, Riverdale High School added robotics as a class instead of a club. The class is taught by Mr. Dennhardt who is very dedicated to the program's success. The students in the class are Tyler Bull-Welch, Sam Butterfield, Gabe Sallows, Campbell Brock, Layton Nelson, Tyler Lockaby, Jase Ball, Ave Phelps, Parker Wendl, Logan Ogden, and Nick Gray. Their next meet is on December 17th in Fulton.
