Riverdale Takes on Tree Wrapping

On March 11th, 2022, Living Lands and Waters came to Riverdale High School. The students and staff were very excited to wrap trees all day for Living Lands and Waters, and help give back to the earth. The students were able to participate in the tree wrapping during a study hall, their gym class, or in any class with their teacher’s permission. The activity was set up in the gym with two groups of students going at one table. Living Lands and Waters are going to multiple schools in the area for the next three weeks to wrap trees and help the earth. After the trees get wrapped and are all ready, people can order them. The trees can be sent anywhere in the country, and they actually get sent to over twenty states! Wrapping trees was such an amazing experience for students, and it was nice to see everyone willing to help the planet. It was a good experience for students to be more involved in giving back. This was also an opportunity for students to see if this is a future career they’re possibly interested in. Spending the day wrapping trees was a good way to take a day to get away from the classroom, and students got something really amazing out of it!
