“Alice in Wonderland”

The Riverdale High School Theater Department performed for the Elementary and the Junior High Students on Wednesday, March 9, 2022. Their performance this year is “Alice in Wonderland.” They were elated to do the “kids show” for the play this year, which is the preview for the actual show starting Friday, March 11, 2022. The high school students left at 10:30 a.m. to prepare for their first show. They first performed to Kindergarteners through second graders at noon. After this, they performed to third through fifth grade students. Following their second performance, they presented their show to Junior High. Jessee Pinson, a senior, played the Cheshire cat in the cast. She explains how the preview went, “The kids show performance went smoothly for being our first time doing it since the Little Mermaid musical two years back. It was great to see the little kids’ faces when passing by the cast seeing all of our costumes and makeup. I feel this show will be a big hit with the kids and adults being a fun concept adaptation from the beloved old Disney. I am excited to see the smiles and laughs of the audience from our three shows! Oh, and remember to watch out for the rabbit holes!” Make sure to come out to the show on Friday, March 11, 2022, at 7:00 p.m., Saturday, March 12, 2022, at 7:00 p.m., and Sunday, March 13, 2022, at 2:00 p.m.
