2021 Football and Football Cheer Banquet

On Saturday, Nov. 6th, the 2021, Football and Football Cheer Banquet was held at Riverdale High School in the Cafeteria. The Football seniors who shared their wonderful talents are Micah Ibarra, Caleb Jennings, Noah Huizenga, Nolan Zeigler, Gage Hugart, Alan Stickler, Cole Jennings, Brady Rogers, Tucker Dwyer, Micheal Benoit, Gracin Lennon, and Reece Richmond. The Football Cheer seniors who shared their cheers with us this season were Kennedy Klundt, Kylie Klundt, Eden Swails and Addie Winger. Reece Richmond said “The banquet was full of memorable stuff. The coach’s all gave a short speech about every player. We also watched our season highlight video. At the end we received our season awards where I earned 2nd Team All Conference Offensive Guard. I also received 1st Team All Conference Defensive Tackle.” Gage Hugart said “The banquet was a great experience, with it being the last one I’ll have with all my friends. It made me think about the good times the team had together. The awards I got were Offensive MVP, 2nd team all conference flex/athlete, and I broke the schools single season passing yards record.” Michael Benoit said “I was very impressed by the banquet, the coaches were very sincere and showed their support for all of the players. I would also say it was a very special moment for all the seniors to get recognized one last time. As for awards, I received the RAM award for leadership, respect, and success on and off the field.”

The Football Cheer Banquet was on Sunday, Nov 7th, at Riverdale Elementary in the gym. They had a soup and sandwich-themed potluck. They handed out some awards. The Best Jump Awards went to Kennedy Klundt and Evie Miller. The Versatility Awards went to Meadow Milard, Maggie Kelley, and Peyton Hemm, The Most Game Ready Awards went to Mia Housenga, Taylor Churchill, and Isabel Lopez. The Leadership Awards went to Kyle Klundt and Isabel Lopez. The Best Attitude Awards went to Meadow Millard and Sophia Mattan. Peyton Hemm is quoted saying “The banquet was a good way to wrap up the season and make final memories with our cheer squad.”
