Volleyball Senior Night

Riverdale Volleyball Team had their senior night on September 17, 2023. The Volleyball Team played Bureau Valley at home and all the Seniors started the game.The senior girls made boards to put in the gym lobby. The boards were filled with pictures and memories to reminisce about all the years playing volleyball. When the girls were walking out for the game, there was a sentimental and memorable video being played on the screens of the senior girls playing volleyball together. Ryalynn Grant, Senior, sang the national anthem before the game started. Before the varsity game, the volleyball seniors, cross country seniors, and golf seniors were announced and walked with their parents to be recognized. Volleyball seniors were, Ryalynn Grant, Avery Burbridge, Emily Saddoris, Carrieanne Hungate and Cassidy Mumma. Cross Country seniors were Makenna Bode, Cael Hinde, Alexa Hugart, Gage Gaulrapp, Teagan McGinty, Logan Ogden, Mattea Wuest, Tyler Lockaby, and Ava Phelps. Lastly, Golf seniors were Ayden Swift, Maddox McWilliams, Jack Endersack, Ian Smiddy, and Mike Smolenski. Avery Burbridge, volleyball senior, quotes, “It was such an amazing night filled with bittersweet memories! I have loved playing volleyball with all my friends!” The volleyball girls were presented with gifts by their underclassmen teammates to make the evening even more special. Riverdale Varsity Volleyball won in two matches. All the Seniors and parents would agree that this was a memorable evening!
