Student Council Hosts Annual Blood Drive
On March 25th, the Riverdale High School student council hosted their annual blood drive. The blood drive was run through the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center, along with the help of student council members. This year’s goal of twenty-one donors, one unit per donor, was exceeded with a total number of twenty-six donors. Of these twenty-six donors, fifteen were first time donors that will hopefully become lifelong blood donors. “Every donor saves about 3-4 lives, so with this blood drive, as a community, we saved 78-104 lives,” says student council member, Kyan Stuart. Overall, thanks to the ample amount of volunteers, this year’s blood drive went smoothly and was a huge success!
