Riverdale Rams First Home Game of the Season

On September 6th, 2024, the Riverdale High School varsity football team played their first home game against Kewanee. The team put up an amazing fight but sadly lost their first game of the season. The score was 26-18, with the Rams scoring three touchdowns. Junior, Gaege Heinsen, scored two touchdowns, and Kolton Kruse scored one. Also, the middle school had its tailgate for the first game. Our high school cheerleaders held their annual  Little Cheerleaders Clinic. Young elementary students from 1st - 5th grade performed with the high schoolers at the game. They danced to “9 to 5” by Dolly Parton, “Powerful Woman” by Pitbull and Dolly Parton, and “Country Girl” by Luke Bryan. During the 3rd quarter, senior, Kalvin Smith, intercepted the ball, allowing Riverdale to get the ball back. The Riverdale community is hoping for a great football season. GO RAMS!
