Golfing Rams Take on Post-Season

On September 27, 2023, the Riverdale Golf Team won regionals at Byron Hills Golf Course in Port Byron, Illinois. As a team, the boys had shot a total score of 298, with four players on the team finishing in the top ten alone. Braden Janicki finished 9th, Blake Sutton in 7th, Mayson Smyser in 2nd second, and Aidan Dorathy finished in first place with two under par. On October 2, 2023 the team also qualified for state at sectionals that was held at Fyre Lakes Golf Course! As a team, the boys shot very well to take second place at the tournament with a score of 319. In this sectional meet, Braden Janicki and Blake Sutton finished in 7th, and Mason Smyser finished in 3rd. The Rams are competing at the state tournament at Prairie Vista Golf Course in Bloomington, Illinois from October 5th to October 7th. As a team and as individuals the boys have competed very well, and the Riverdale community wishes them the best of luck at state!
