Braeden Bode and Andy Murray Run at Cross Country State

On November 9th, junior, Braeden Bode, and senior, Andy Murray, went to Detweiller Park to represent Riverdale at the Illinois IHSA Cross Country State Meet. To qualify for State, Braeden came in 5th at Sectionals with a time of 15:47. Similarly, Andy came in 14th at Sectionals with a time of 16:26 to qualify for State. At State, Andy ran a personal best of 16:14 to come in 112th out of nearly 275 runners. Braeden, who also ran a personal best, ran a 15:28 to finish in 33rd place at State. Braeden had this to say about the cross country season: βThe whole team overcame a lot of adversity this season. Everyone stayed focused throughout, and we saw its benefits towards the end.β Braeden and Andy will be recognized at a Fall Sports Pep Assembly, which will start at 2:40 p.m. on Friday, November 15th.
