The Final Four

On Friday, February 28 the varsity girls’ basketball team traveled to Redbird Arena. The first game they played was against Pleasant Plains High School. The Rams fell short and lost 42-27, the cost of the game was 24 turnovers and shooting 28% from the field. Senior Sidney Garrett was the leading scorer with 12 points. Heading into Saturday night’s game the Rams were playing for third place. Playing their final game of the season the Rams lost 61-36 to Carterville High School. Garrett was the leading scorer with 10 points. Co-captain and junior Shae Hanrahan had 5 points and 6 rebounds. 

The Riverdale girls’ varsity basketball team had an outstanding season finishing with a 28-5 record and placing 4th in the state. Not only did they have an amazing record, but made school history by winning sectionals, super-sectionals, and placing at state.
