Starting Off Strong!

On Tuesday, December 6th, the Riverdale Boys Basketball team held their season home opener against Monmouth-Roseville High School. The junior varsity team kicked off the night at 5:30 p.m. Starters for the game were Aiden Sensabaugh, Collin DeCap, Colton Huffman, Aris Morgan, and Owen Wainwright. The team started the game strong, ending the half with a point-for-point game. After a hard fight in the second half, the Rams lost the game 41-63. Following the junior varsity game was the varsity team, also against Monmouth-Roseville. The starting line-up for varsity was Jacob Watson, Brody Clark, Jake Willems, Ethan Kiddo, and Trent Doty. The Rams started the game with high-intensity and did not let up throughout each quarter. By the end of the first quarter, Rams were in the lead with a score of 13-10 and they closed out the first half with a one point lead. The second half proved to be just as strong as the first. Going into the final quarter, the team led by 13. They finished the game strong, ending the game 56-41. Fans enjoyed the game tremendously, as it was a great way to start this year’s basketball season. The team anticipates great success in the coming weeks.
