Speech Takes on Regionals

On Thursday, February 1st, 2024 the Riverdale Speech team competed in regionals. The Talking Rams hosted regionals at 6 p.m. in the Betty Plumb Auditorium. Overall, Riverdale placed 4th out of 10 teams. Only 3 points separated the Rams from the 3rd place team. Fourteen events and a PIR performance in the round competed in regionals. All 14 events advanced to finals to compete. The top four events in each category advanced to Sectionals. Riverdale advanced 8 individual events and their PIR to the IHSA Speech Sectionals which were held on February 10th and 11th in Rochelle.
