Scholastic Bowl Success

On January 27th the Riverdale Scholastic Bowl team won the Quadrangular by crushing Mercer County and Princeton with a combined score of 1,480-280 on January 25th. The students scoring tossups for Riverdale were seniors, Billy Cox, with 11, Micheal Gannon and juniors, Carrie Pridemore with 10 each, Braeden Bode with 9, Axel Pennock and sophomore, Lillian Skaggs, with 2 each, and Aubrey McGintey with one. Their varsity record is 28 wins and 2 losses. Then, on January 28th, the Riverdale Scholastic Bowl Team got 3 wins against Rockridge, Mercer County, and Sherrard. The students scoring tossups for Riverdale were Micheal Gannon with 15, Carrie Pridemore with 9, Braeden Bode with 8, Axel Pennock with 4, Lillian Skaggs and Aubrey McGintey with 2 each. The Varsity record is now 31 wins and 2 losses. The Scholastic Bowl Team is off to a great start this season, with this being the last season coached by respected teacher, Mr. Campbell, who will retire at the end of this year.
