Little Rams Cheer Clinic

On Thursday, February 3rd, Riverdale High School hosted the Little Rams Cheer Clinic. The cheerleaders were excited to have just under 100 kids, ranging from Pre-K to 5th grade, participating in the clinic this year. The elementary cheerleaders were happy to cheer the boy’s basketball team on to victory for both JV and Varsity.

Little Rams pre-k through 2nd grade performed during half time of the junior varsity game. They danced to “Call Me Maybe” by Carly Rae Jepsen. The young cheerleaders were enthusiastic about learning their dance and showing their Riverdale spirit. With the help from the high school cheerleaders, the kids were able to have a great time at the clinic and the performance. During halftime of the varsity boys basketball game, 3rd through 5th graders performed the dance they learned at the clinic. They danced to “Domino” by Jessie J and did a fantastic job of keeping up with the fast song. Being older means learning the harder dances and the high school cheerleaders were thrilled to see the younger cheerleaders learn and perform the fast-paced dance. Coach Arnold, the Riverdale High School cheer coach quotes, “Little Rams performance night is always fun and exciting. The cheerleaders did a great job and we’re looking forward to the future of Riverdale Cheer!” Our cheerleaders and community are excited for the next Little Rams Cheer Clinic in the fall.
