Donation Drive At Riverdale Middle School

The Girl Scout Troop 8416 would like to help a local donation center, the Oasis, in East Moline, by collecting donations for people who have had their homes burned down in the middle of the night. The Oasis has teamed up with the East Moline Fire Department to provide the fire victims with things they would immediately need after having to leave their homes in a hurry. For a two-week time period, beginning Monday, April 19th, we would like your help collecting specific items, and those items that we collect will be taken to the Oasis for them to distribute. We need help with donations of new underwear, socks, and bathroom/hygiene items such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, and shampoo for those who had to leave their home after a fire at night, a time when there are limited stores open to get such items. We are collecting donations here at RMS. Students that donate items will receive a ticket that they can enter into a drawing for homework and stretch passes. So, team up with Riverdale Middle School and our local Girl Scouts to make a difference in the lives of fire victims.
