Boys Golf IHSA 3rd Place

The Riverdale Boys Golf Team are your IHSA 1A Third Place Team! On October 1st, the boys golf team captured their 6th TRAC Conference Title in a row at Deer Valley Golf Course in Deer Grove, IL with a team score of 309. Then on October 7th they added a 6th consecutive IHSA Class 1A Regional Title to their resume as they shot 318 at Spring Creek in Spring Valley, IL. Then on October 14th the Rams won their 3rd IHSA Class 1A Sectional Title in a row at the northern golf sectional at Park Hills Golf Course in Freeport, IL by beating out North Shore Country Day Upper School by 1 stroke!

On October 18th & 19th the Rams played in their third consecutive state tournament. After Friday’s round, Riverdale made the cut but were in 6th place, 13 strokes off the lead and 11 strokes from 3rd place. The Rams came out on Saturday ready to play and climbed 11 strokes and earned a 3rd place finish at the state tournament. Congrats to the players and coaches! Best of luck to the two seniors Ryan Bussert and Jared Griffin and congrats to James Moorhusen for recording his first ever hole-in-one on Saturday on his 17th hole of the day, the 175 yard hole 8 par 3 at Prairie Vista Golf Course!
