During the winter, Riverdale offers wrestling, girls and boys basketball, speech and scholastic bowl for its students to participate in. Any home event during the winter is held at Riverdale HS. Riverdale Gymnasium is often host to IHSA State Series events like regionals and sectionals. The gym can seat approximately 1600 people when at capacity.
